Local Art & Universal Appeal
Since its inception in 2001, the 2-mile corridor along Route 1 known as the Gateway Arts District has developed into a rejuvenated enclave full of eclectic shops, galleries, restaurants, and entertainment. We’re excited to provide local artists a place to showcase their work and a community that supports them through exhibits, markets, events, and advertising.

The Loft Gallery
Featuring Melody Ayshay
This mixed media work represents the journey of grief and somehow finding and establishing pieces of oneself through the process. This body of work is an ode to black women; the journey of black women, the grief of our existence, and the process of navigating a world that often does not make room for our emotions, weak moments, wild thoughts and dreams, and ultimate self-discovery.

The Corner Space
Featuring Tom Hill
I aim to achieve a balance between process, materials, and content. In these non-objective works, geometric scaffolding forms the basis from which organic forms emerge and interrelate.
miXt Food Hall’s rotating art exhibition spaces have an open call for local artists to submit their work for consideration. Please contact John Paradiso, Curator of Programs at Portico Gallery & Studios, at portico3807@gmail.com and include a link to your website.
